I found some old photos
Roo and I planted...Well, I directed, and Roo planted this garden last August. He did all of the digging and I mixed topsoil and pete moss. Fun times. He's proud of his work and I think it deserves some attention. We also randomly added about 150-200 bulbs so this 20 foot x 6 foot patch of Earth will be blooming like crazy come Springtime. I'm so happy!

I love it! I am totally stealing this idea :) Does your backyard dip down and then level out again?
Yes it does. There is a steep slope across the backyard. We plan on planting veggies there this summer so Roo won't have to mow it forever. I can't wait for Spring, it won't come soon enough, and once it's here it always goes by too fast!
(sorry it took so long to reply) Our lot does the same thing. I don't know what we plan on doing with it but maybe a tiered retaining wall in the future. In the meantime I plan on soliciting a teenage child in the neighborhood to mow our lawn for us :)
